Welcome to the SJUSD Summer School Programs 2013 High School Credit Recovery Program... This program offers credit recovery and independent study opportunities for students to graduate and to access courses in impacted high school programs. High School Summer Programs will offer two sessions. - When: Monday through Thursday
- Session 1: June 17 - July 3, 2013 (M-Th)
- Session 2: July 8 - July 25, 2013 (M-Th)

The Refugee Impact Grant Summer Program... The Refugee Impact Grant program will offer a summer program for verified refugee students who will be entering grades 1-6 and 9-12. Elementary Students - When: June 17 - July 18, 2013 (Mon.-Thurs., no school July 4)

Secondary Students - When: June 17 - July 25, 2013 (Mon.-Thurs., no school July 4)
- Time: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Special Education Extended School Year... Special Education extended school year programming is determined by your student’s IEP team. Please contact your student’s case manager if you have questions.
Camp Winthers... Environmental education programs have been conducted at Camp Winthers since 1957. The Camp is owned and operated by the San Juan Unified School District and is located three miles south of Soda Springs off Interstate 80, adjacent to one of the most beautiful lakes in the Sierra. Camp Winthers has a week-long program for everyone. All campers, regardless of the program, will engage in regular camp activities such as hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, archery, campfires, and skits. Sports School...Sports School is a 5 week summer sports and games program for youth ages 8 to 13. Activities include teaching fundamental skills and strategies in traditional sports along with track and field, soccer, wrestling or gymnastics. Many recreational games and fitness activities are included in the program. This is a fee based program with scholarships for those who qualify.

Arts Explosion Camp... The Arts Explosion - A Camp for Creativity is for Kindergarten through high school students who are interested in a creative and comprehensive Arts experience that includes Music, Visual Art, Dance and Drama. For more information see the link below. - K-1 Creativity Camp

Foster Youth Serving foster youth who are provided with temporary shelter at the Children's Receiving Home. - When: June 17- July 18, 2013 (M-Th, no school July 4th)
- Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

First Five Summer Camp Academy First Five Summer Camp Academy for kindergarten readiness. - When: June 17 - July 5, 2013 (M-F, no school July 4)
- Time: 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- Where: Starr King, Dyer Kelly, Edison, Howe
Discovery Club Summer Program Discovery Club will offer enrichment curriculum that supports both state and district goals with experienced certificated teachers. The summer theme is "Let's Discover Why" and activities will include art, literature, math, science, outdoor activities, field trips and more. This is fee-based with subsidy on a limited basis for those who qualify. - When: June 7 -August 14, 2013 (M-F, no school on July 4)
- Time: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Where: Arlington Heights, Cambridge Heights, Carriage, Cowan, Del Dayo, Deterding, Dewey, Gold River, Green Oaks, Howe, LeGette, Lichen, Mission, Northridge, Oakview, Orangevale, Pershing, Schweitzer, Sierra Oaks, Trajan, Twin Lakes, Woodside.
Bridges After-School Summer Program
This is a summer enrichment program with a focus on engaging students in hands on activities that reinforce 21st Century Skills. Program components include enrichment centers, organized recreation activities character education and nutrition education. Funding for this program is provided through the After-School Education and Safety grant, and a small participation fee. The fee is based on a sliding scale and scholarships are available
- When: Tentative June 17- July 18, 2013
