California Star Program

California's Accountability Progress Reporting System

• Academic Performance Index (API) - measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures.
• Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) - a statewide accountability system mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 which requires each state to ensure that all schools and districts make adequate yearly progress.

California English Language Development Test (CELDT)

CELDT is a required state test for English language proficiency that must be given to students whose primary language is other than English.
