Arlington Heights Jog-a-Thon Kick-off

Friday, September 18th Arlington Heights celebrated their annual Jog-a-Thon kick off.  Many thanks to PTC president Mrs. Angela Ervin, PTC vice president, Tisha Howard and the teachers for participating in and organizing the day's events.

The assembly opened up with Mrs. Ervin explaining the Jog-a-Thon pledge process.  The pledge sheets went home on Friday and are due back by October 2nd.  The Jog-a-Thon will be run on Friday, October 2nd.

Next, our school mascot Arli presented this year's winning t-shirt design. Congratulations to Chase Ervin for designing the winning art work which will appear on this year's jog-a-thon t-shirts.

Following the t-shirt presentation the students were treated to 3 sets of relay races in which teachers and students participated.  There was a ping-pong ball in a spoon race, a book balancing race, and a water balloon toss.  Great fun was had by all.

We encourage you all to come and watch the Jog-a-Thon on Friday October 2nd.  If you would like to help please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible or you may leave a message for Mrs. Ervin and the PTC in the school office.
