STUDENT RECOGNITION
Appropriate behavior, good grades, and excellent attendance will be recognized and rewarded by the teachers, principal, and Parent Teacher Club.
Rising Stars 200 Club: Each day staff members will watch for students who are following the rules: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. Students who are "caught" will receive a card which entitles them to come to the principal's office and pick a numbered chip from the bucket. The numbers are between 1 - 200. The students then sign their names in the Celebrity Book and the principal puts their name on the corresponding number on the chart in the office. When there are 10 names in a row, those students will win the Mystery Motivator. This can be anything from a lunch at McDonalds, extra recess, or any number of surprises. It takes about 3 weeks to get a winning row, then the board is wiped clean and we start again.
Congratulations! "Arli Caught You": This award will be given to students for positive behavior, good citizenship, and community service actions. The coupons will be placed in the appropriate box for the student's grade level and each week names will be selected for the students to receive a reward. Winners will also be mentioned in the Mustang Messenger.
Student of the Month: Each month names will be submitted by the teachers to the principal for students who showed outstanding acheivement in academics and/or citizenship. These students will receive a certificate and a gift reward. These names will also be mentioned in the Mustang Messenger and posted in the multi-purpose room.
Attendance: Students with perfect attendance and no tardies in a trimester will be recognized and rewarded. They will receive a certificate and their names will be posted in the multipurpose room and listed in the Mustang Messenger.
