· BOOK FAIR IS COMING! TUES 12/1 – FRI 12/4
The library will host the Scholastic Book Fair from Tuesday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 4, during school hours. We will accept CASH, credit cards and checks made out to Barrett PTA. Families are welcome to visit after school until 3 pm. Look for the Preview/ Author videos shown in English classes & the Sneak Peek flyers. The English classes are scheduled to visit during the Fair. Win the estimating game and you can win a free book, too. This could be the perfect time to get some early holiday shopping done.
· PANCAKE BREAKFAST TOMORROW, 11/21--Benefit for the Band. Only $5 - $6 per person for a full, delicious breakfast. Fliers available in the office.
· ATTENTION 8TH GRADERS: If you are interested in joining ROTC at Del Campo High School, stop by the office or see our website news for an application. ROTC is for students who are interested in getting involved in the military.
· Attention Hungry Students: No credit can be issued by the cafeteria. No money on student account and no cash in hand = NO LUNCH!
· LIBRARY OVERDUES There are many overdue books that need to be returned to the library right away. Be responsible with our books so others can check them out and enjoy them too.
· If you have a new phone number at home, please have your parents/guardian notify the office—we have emergency cards with nothing but disconnected numbers listed!
· The next CLUB LIVE After School Movie will be ELF, on December 17, 1:30 to 3:30. (All students who attend the movie are expected to stay for the entire event.)
· PERFECT ATTENDANCE It is time to celebrate students who have no tardies or absences for First Quarter, period 1. Students, please look on the office window and see if you are on the list. If you are, bring your ID card to the office and we will put a sticker on it that will turn your card into a “Fast Pass” allowing you to go to the front of the lunch line or a la carte line for the rest of the quarter. Congratulations on your perfect attendance!
· Bicycles must be locked inside the bicycle cage, locked tire first, not sideways. We need room in the bike rack for every bike.
· WALK, DON’T RUN, and do neither on the grass!
