Carnegie Connection Media

We are very excited to start our fifth year in Video Production at Carnegie! The Carnegie Connection Media Class is responsible for several productions that  keep students, staff, and parents informed.  The Media class produces the live, daily "Carnegie Connection" broadcast to keep students and staff informed of our busy calendar.  We also create and produce the Video Yearbook DVD which is 100% student produced and also our major fundraiser each year.

This year we expanded, upgraded, and moved our studio to a more permanent location on campus.  We are very excited about our very professional studio and broadcast.  We now include daily podcasts, so parents can stay informed from home.  See our podcasts here.

Over the past four years, we have been honored with nine Student Educational Video Awards.   The SEVA's are a countywide competition of student produced video  work.  SECC, channel 15 and 16, (on comcast) puts on the annual SEVA awards and you can find much of our work on the SECC website www.secctv.org or on channel 15/16.

We are always looking for ways to improve our program.  If you have any suggestions or would like to donate to our media class please contact me at bweitzel@sanjuan.edu
