Sierra College will be having a Casa Roble Students Only

Assessment Day in Feb. 2010

   Test Date: Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.

   Location: Sierra College Assessment Center in room L-181 in the Winstead (L) Building

Students must call or visit the Assessment Center to reserve their spots for this day. The phone number for the Assessment Center is (916) 660-7430

Students must complete an application for admission to Sierra College prior making an appointment for testing.

Students may apply online at: http://www.sierracollege.edu/ApplyRegister/index.html

Please allow up to four business days for application processing

Sierra College - Preparing for the SAT
Maximize your performance on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT). Learn about the new format (which includes a writing sample) that most colleges and universities require. The verbal review focuses on techniques for reading comprehension, vocabulary practice and improving writing. The math review focuses on problem solving techniques from algebra I and II and geometry included in the SAT test. Text included in fee.

 Colleges and Universities prefer students to apply on-line. If you can't, the you can print a pdf file to mail to the school. University/College. Catalogs are available in the School to Career Center in the Library. Scholarship information is available on the web site or in the counseling office.

What is EOP&S?

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services assists students that have an economic and educational need. It is a student support program offering a variety of services to help students realize success in their educational goals. IOP&S is funded through the State of California at the community college level.Services for Eligible EOP&S Students EOP&S provides the following services to students who meet the eligibility criteria:
Counseling

Priority Registration

Application fee Waivers for CSU & UC

Lending Library

Book Voucher each semester (Fall & Spring)

Assistance with completing FAFSA

Tutoring

 

If you are planning to play sports in college including junior college you will need to take the SAT or ACT in order to qualify for eligibility with the NCAA. The NCAA applications are available in Mrs. Harbaugh’s office in the counseling office.
