AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination and is an international program that seeks to provide support to students 6-12 grades.
The mission of AVID is to ensure that ALL students, and most especially the least served students who are in the middle:
-will succeed in rigorous curriculum,
-will complete a rigorous college preparatory path,
-will enter mainstream activities of the school,
-will increase their enrollment in four-year colleges, and
-will become educated and responsible participants and leaders in a democratic society.
Casa Roble AVID serves 180 students this year (10% of the school population) and is offered as a year-long elective course 9-12 grade. With an emphasis on academic support, leadership training, college and career exploration, and service, Casa Roble AVID is a great way to get involved in high school and make plans for your future.
