The Mission of this Library/Media Center is to assist students in the development of the skills necessary for independent lifelong learning, provide the resources and facilities needed to help students become effective users of ideas and information, and to encourage reading for pleasure as well as information.
The Library/Media Center provides a quiet place to read, study and do research. Students may take Accelerated Reader quizzes on the library's computers and find a generous selection of books to choose from that cover a wide variety of interests and reading levels. The library computers are available for students to use for school related research and academic work.

ALL students are required to show their current school ID card in order to check out library books. ID cards are also required for lunch line identification and other school events.
Lost your ID? Order replacement ID cards in the Library for $5 (cash only). It takes a few days to process. DO NOT wait until the day of an event to order a replacement - please plan ahead!
The "searchable" on-line catalog is now available - see the link at the left under "Library."
There are currently 4,440 Accelerated Reader quizzes in our inventory (as of November 17, 2009). Please remember that a quiz must be in OUR inventory to be OUR Accelerated Reader book.
Would you like to REQUEST a new book and/or AR quiz? There is a "Wish List" clipboard just for such requests in the library. Ask, and we'll do what we can to grant your wish. An email to Mrs. Stefun will also put your request on the list: (kstefun@sanjuan.edu)
