Guidelines for Parent – Teacher Communication

These guidelines are meant to promote improved communication between parents/guardians and teachers to ensure the success of students.

  1. Initial Concern: Parent/Guardian will contact the teacher through phone or email.  Teacher(s) will respond in a timely manner.  Email typically generates a faster response.
  2. Unresolved Concerns:  Parent/Guardian should contact the administration or counseling office, who will schedule a conference with the teacher, student, parent/guardian, and appropriate counselor or administrator.  If it is determined that more than one teacher needs to be present, the conference will be scheduled when the majority of parties can attend.  If a teacher cannot be present, they will provide a written statement that addresses the concern(s) of the parent/guardian.

Email addresses for all Del Campo staff can be found through the school website at www.sanjuan.edu/delcampo  and then selecting the tab "Teachers & Staff",

or can be directly linked at http://www.sanjuan.edu/staff_directory.cfm?location=45

Staff phone numbers are in the student planner, or a message can be left through the main office at 971-5650.
