Zangle Parent Connection

Guidelines for Parent – Teacher Communication

These guidelines are meant to promote improved communication between parents/guardians and teachers to ensure the success of students.

  1. Initial Concern: Parent/Guardian will contact the teacher through phone or email.  Teacher(s) will respond in a timely manner.  Email typically generates a faster response.
  2. Unresolved Concerns:  Parent/Guardian should contact the administration or counseling office, who will schedule a conference with the teacher, student, parent/guardian, and appropriate counselor or administrator.  If it is determined that more than one teacher needs to be present, the conference will be scheduled when the majority of parties can attend.  If a teacher cannot be present, they will provide a written statement that addresses the concern(s) of the parent/guardian.

Email addresses for all Del Campo staff can be found through the school website at www.sanjuan.edu/delcampoÞ Teachers & Staff,

or can be directly linked at http://www.sanjuan.edu/staff_directory.cfm?location=45

Staff phone numbers are in the student planner, or a message can be left through the main office at 971-5650.

DC Student Handbook

Work Permits

Students under 18 years of age must possess work permits when employed. Work permit eligibility requires students to maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. and no “F’s” in academic courses; maintain a positive attendance record, with at least two weeks clear attendance just prior to the request. Work Permits will be issued based on the most current grade report and attendance report and will be valid for one reporting period.  Work permits must be renewed and may be denied, restricted or revoked if the student becomes ineligible due to academic failure or attendance issues.

This form MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY with particular attention being paid to Social Security Number, Minor’s date of birth and Worker’s Compensation Company.

It must have either Parent or Guardian AND supervisor’s signatures.

Unless this request for a work permit is properly filled out, it will not be accepted and will have to be redone before a permit is issued. Please allow 36 to 48 hours after my receipt of the application for the completion of the work permit.
