At Del Dayo School, our vision is to ensure that every student meets or exceeds challenging academic standards, acts responsibly, and values the learning process. We will celebrate and respect one another.

We pride ourselves on a positive school environment that provides the academic atmosphere in which each student can excel on standards and develop the emotional and interpersonal skills necessary for independence in an ever-changing society.  We work carefully with parents to help develop a positive self-image with an appreciation for the value of learning in every student.

We are a neighborhood school with a strong academic focus.  We do accept students through the open enrollment process as space allows.  Del Dayo offers a variety of classes and activities to enrich the learning environment.  They include:

• an active Student Council
• spirit days
• band and choir
• art and Spanish afterschool programs
• Geography club for grades 4 - 6
  
• enrichment classes for GATE identified and high achieving students
• Discovery Club for before and after school care
• lunchtime intermurals for grades 4 - 6
• summer reading and writing challenges
• a full-time media technician who holds monthly Family Library Nights
• 2 computer labs, computers in classrooms and several interactive whiteboards
• after-school sports through Mission Oaks Parks and Recreation
• partnership with the Del Dayo soccer club.
