Deterding Elementary believes it is our responsibility to nurture the natural curiosities of students through the arts, humanities and sciences, motivating them to become lifelong learners.  Deterding students will be critical thinkers and effective communicators who embrace challenge without fear of failure and grow into leaders who approach new situations with confidence and compassion.
 
We are proud to be part of the Carmichael community and the San Juan Unified School District.  We know our work is enhanced and success is increased with partnerships between parents and the community.  At Deterding Elementary School, we look at the whole child and find ways to make learning meaningful, connected and fun!
