Health Academy

Welcome Health Academy Students!

The Encina High School Academy of Health Careers offers students the opportunity to learn academic basics as related to the health care professions.  The first Health Technology course is taken in the sophomore year with sequential courses taken in the junior and senior years.

Students interested in being part of the Health Academy should tell their counselor.  They may also contact Mr. Don Brodnansky, Program Coordinator, by calling him at 971-7570 or by email to dbrodnansky@sanjuan.edu.

If you are considering a career in health care, be a part of the “Health Academy”, and consider the following:

  • Meet new students that have the same interest as you.
  • Experience new and different skills from job shadowing at Kaiser, Mercy and Sutter Hospitals.

Health care is the fastest growing industry in California.
