Message From the Principal to the Garfield Community

     Welcome to Garfield Elementary School.  Our staff is honored to be of service to you and your children. We will do everything we can to meet your children’s academic, social, and emotional needs. We provide a California standards-aligned curriculum within the context of a caring community. Our community is diverse. We provide a full spectrum of academic interventions as well as an expanding enrichment program.

    One of the most unique things about Garfield is the quality of its parent volunteers. Our volunteers are “regular folks.” They are here every day, filling in wherever they are needed. We are blessed to include them in our school family.

Please know that you are truly welcome to be an active participant in our school community. We look forward to getting to know you better as we work together to maximize your child’s academic achievement. We care about STAR scores here at Garfield but we also care about raising positive and powerful human beings who will contribute to the world around them.
