NOTES FROM THE PTA
Our school is the top performing Elementary school in SJUSD. One reason is because of the amazing parental involvement that we have at Green Oaks. While it's not required, it is suggested that each family give 30 hours of their year to volunteer in some way to support the programs at Green Oaks. This can be filled through volunteering in the classroom, library, media lab, or at any PTA event. If you are looking for ways to fulfill your 30 hours, please contact your child's teacher or the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org.

First Annual Adult Auction Dinner Tickets for the event will be selling soon. We will need a lot of parent volunteers and donations to make this event happen. If we work hard, we can raise money for the students, teachers, classrooms, and our school grounds. Our first meeting will be December 2, 7:00 pm, at Round Table (Hazel and Madison). Please contact Crystal Thorns if you would like to participate with donations or volunteer in any way. Email her at: firstname.lastname@example.org

"PARENT RESERVED" PARKING SPOT
The parking spot in our front parking lot that is labeled"Parent Reserved" is for our winner of the live auction at the Fall Social ONLY! The family generously donated to have that spot all year. Please do not park there, even if it is the only empty spot, unless your name was on that check. Thank you so much.
VOLUNTEER HOURS ARE IMPORTANT

HAVE YOU TURNED IN YOUR FOGO???
FOGO stands for Friends of Green Oaks. It is simply a cash donation that you are making to your child's PTA. We use the money to fund all of the school-wide programs and events The form is below if you didn't get one from school. Remember, we do FOGO so that we do not have to send our kids door to door selling things like candy and gift wrap. Without all of our families supporting this, we will have to resort to selling product. No amount is too small (or too big!) Please turn in your form. Remember, any amount you pay is tax deductible!
If you have not signed up to be a member of our PTA, please do so. It is only $6.00 and with that comes your right to vote on "official matters". This includes, but is not limited to, voting for our new Board for the next school year. Please come into the office for envelopes if you need one.
As district funding continues to decline, the role of the PTA in supporting our school becomes increasingly important. Please help us to maintain our high quality of programs and classroom support. Check out how you can help Green Oaks on our Fund Raising link.
