READING ROCKS!
As our school-wide reading hours continue to build, an increase in reading skills among our students is clearly evident. Here is a look at the Reading Rocks award levels:
Reading is logged by student, done outside of class, and is checked off by a parent or guardian. There will be an end-of-year parade to celebrate reading. A student may dress up as a character from a favorite book they have read this year (more details will be coming).
Level I- 10 hours Level II- 30 hours
Level III- 60 hours Level IV- 120 hours
Level V- Student with the most hours read per grade level.
Awards:
Level I- School wristband and award certificate.
Level II- Wristband, certificate and restaurant certificate.
Level III- Wristband, certificate, free recess and Jamba Juice.
Level IV- Wristband, certificate, and full breakfast with the principal.
Level V- Wristband, certificate, and gift certificate from selected stores.
