2009/10 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Recurring after school event(s): Laurel Ruff Choir practice is scheduled after school every Friday from 2:30 to 3:30

November 17^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
November 19^th –Picture Retake Day – for students who missed the first day & for retakes
November 20^th - 1st annual All-School Laurel Ruff Thanksgiving Feast
Nov 23 through Nov 27– Thanksgiving recess - no school
Dec. 5^th – Special Olympics bowling tournament, Mardi Gras Lanes (coach will communicate info to participants)
December 7^th - student government meeting 11:00AM; staff meeting 2:20
Dec 7, 8 & 9 – minimum days for fall conferences, 12:15 dismissal (note: these days reflect a district level schedule change)
December 15^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
December 18^th - Laurel Ruff choir - Winter Concert - 1:00 PM
Dec 21 through Jan 1 – winter break - no school
January 4 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
January 19^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
January 15^th – no school – teacher workday
January 18^th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday - no school
January 19^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
Feb 1 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
Feb 15 through Feb 19 – February recess - no school
February 23^rd – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
March 1 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
March 16^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
March 29 through April 2 – spring break - no school
April 5 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
April 14^th – minimum day for Open House – 12:15 dismissal
April 14^th – Open House - 6:00 PM-7:30 PM (minimum day schedule)
April 20^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
May 3 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
May 7 - the Laurel Ruff prom
May 18^th – Site Council meeting, 2:30 PM
May 31^st – Memorial Day Holiday - no school
June 7 - student government meeting 12:15; staff meeting 2:20
June 9th - graduation
June 11^th - minimum day - 12:15 dismissal – LAST Day of School
June 21 through July 30 – extended school year - summer school 2010 program
