Mesa Verde students are assigned a counselor based on last name and program.

Counselors are available for academic, career, social/emotional, and personal issues.  Some of the areas they assist students with include:  setting goals, educational and career planning, course selection, personal or social problems.

If a student is experiencing problems coping with schoolwork, classmates or with teachers, student may request a meeting with their counselor.   

 

SUPPORT SERVICES


Student Assistance Program (SAP)

Jolie Leininger (jleininger@sanjuan.edu) offers programs, services and resources as well as support groups on campus, and provides referrals to district and community resources. Support groups build social skills, educate and promote student leadership and academic success.

Students can self refer or be referred by parents, teachers, and other concerned adults or peers.
