Traffic Flow Policy

Traffic Flow Policy at Mira Loma High School.

We continue to work with the Highway Patrol, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the County of Sacramento and the Fire Department to improve student safety on and around the Mira Loma campus.  Please follow the following instructions to improve traffic flow:

First – vehicles traveling west on Edison Avenue will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO TURN LEFT INTO THE ADMINISTRATION PARKING LOT.  In addition, Vehicles exiting the lot will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO TURN LEFT onto Edison Ave. 

Second – vehicles traveling north on Norris Avenue will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO ENTER THE EAST PARKING LOT.  You will be routed around to the Edison Avenue entrance.  Vehicles exiting the east parking lot will no longer be able to turn left onto Engle Road.  You will continue south onto Norris Ave.

Third – A DROP OFF and PICK UP lane has been added in both the east and west parking lots.  Please use only these lanes to drop off and pick up your students and PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD when doing so.

As posted, there is no stopping or parking allowed on Edison Avenue.

These traffic patterns will be in effect from 7:30 to 8:30 A.M. each morning and from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. each afternoon.  Signs are posted and traffic cones are in place.

Finally, please remember to park only in VISITOR designated parking areas.  All numbered slots are assigned to staff members who frequently must come and go to the District Office or other schools.
