MLHS AVID Program
Advancement Via Individual Determination
AVID supports students in all academic programs at Mira Loma High School including International Studies, MYP, and IB. Students in AVID enroll in courses that fulfill rigorous "a-g" college entrance requirements. AVID students and their parents commit to enrollment in the AVID elective for three to four years, one period a day where they practice organizational and study skills, work on critical thinking and asking questions, get academic help from peers and college tutors, and participate in enrichment and motivational activities that make college attainable.
What do you need to do to get into the AVID Program at MLHS?
* Complete the AVID Application Questions and AVID Contract below.
* Attach your most recent progress report along with a copy of your transcripts.
* Submit your application to Richard Hale, AVID Coordinator.
