FHA-HERO

FHA-HERO focuses on developing career and leadership skills for members to be successful in home, community and work life. The California Association FHA-HERO is the pre-professional organization for secondary students enrolled in Home Economics Careers and Technology programs in grades 6-12.

Students are able to sharpen their personal leadership and career skills by participating as members and officers in competitive recognition events, leadership development activities, and community service projects. The California Association FHA-HERO is sponsored by Home Economics Careers and Technology Programs, California Department of Education.

New San Juan High School has two FHA-HERO Chapters with a total of 166 members.  Students participate in Region and State Leadership Meetings, compete in Culinary Arts Competitive Recognition Events, raise funds and do community service projects.
