Dear Families and Visitors to the Pasadena Elementary Website,

My name is Patricia Lennie and I am thrilled to be the principal of Pasadena Elementary!  I have had the opportunity to spend time with most of the Pasadena Staff at Writers’ Workshop training this summer and I can say without reservation your school has the most dedicated teachers and staff!  Together, we will be focusing on Comprehensive Balanced Literacy in the classrooms. The wonderful opportunities offered through the Writers’ Workshop process will encourage students to develop a love of rich literature and a passion for writing!   We look forward to sharing our work with you in many different ways throughout the school year.

It is my ambition to continue to support the goals your community of learners set out in your site strategic plan:

·         foster and develop a community of caring in which students, families, staff and community members are valued partners in the educational process

·         develop positive character traits, emphasizing an appreciation of human values

·         create a collaborative school environment that personalizes instruction and actively engages and supports ALL students learning

·         ensure all staff are implementing effective instructional strategies, integrating technology and utilizing assessment data to actively challenge students to increase achievement.
