Principal -- Mrs. Deal

Welcome to Pasteur Middle School, a California Distinguished School.

We are looking forward to working with our students and their families to ensure that all students grow academically and socially this year.  We offer a broad set of programs to meet the needs of all our students as they move toward proficiency and beyond.

One of our focuses is the infusion of technology into all aspects of the curriculum.  We have 6 COWS (Computers on Wheels) and three room-based computer labs.  We use programs such as Comic Life, iMovie, Sketch-up and Pages in all classrooms.  Every year we add to our technology stable.

We welcome and encourage your involvement in your student’s academic performance.  We provide formal grade reports every 5 weeks and expect that our new student information system will be accessible to families shortly.  Also please review the behavioral expectations outlined in our Binder Reminder with your students.

Pasteur also offers a number of extra-curricular activities and sports programs as well.  Those activities include:  dances, sock hops, movie nights, lunch time intra-murals, and lunch time entertainment by our student government class.

Please consider becoming a member of our PTSO.  Your involvement enhances your student’s experience at Pasteur.  There are spots for parents who wish to be volunteer often to those that occur on a one-time basis.

Thanks to those parents who volunteered to help and those who purchased memberships already.  Your PTSO at Pasteur takes responsibility for all dances, supports the teachers with a yearly stipend and has supported technology infusion here by purchasing new computers for our library.

2009/2010 is going to be a great year at Pasteur!

Janet Deal, Principal
Mike Dolan, Vice Principal
