Thank you for visiting the Pershing School Website. Your interest in our school is important to us and we hope that this site will provide the resources and information that you find useful.
Pershing School is a neighborhood K-6 school with about 550 students. We support students who have applied to the district Rapid Learner program. Our school would be considered traditional, with rigourous coursework based on State Standards and daily homework. Students have many opportunities to be involved in after school programs and stage performances throughout the year.
We have a highly qualified teaching staff, 70% of whom have advanced degrees. Teachers have high expectations of all students and communicate regularly with parents through classroom newletters, teacher websites, email, and parent conferences.
The most recent parent survey highlights a positive parent response in the areas of knowledge about curriculum content, school safety, school climate, and home-school communication.
Truly, parents are our partners and working together we have been able to achieve high academic results and a strong school community.
