»Academic Decathalon =

»American Red Cross YCAT = To serve the world and make them smile.

»Asian Culture Club= To educate and share interests in asian cultures. Offer opportunities to enrich students culturally.

»The Betty Crocker Club = To learn how to bake.

»Big Sis / Lil Sis = create bond between freshmen & senior girls!

»Black Pride Club =To teach and promote Black Pride in a fun and healthy environment. Also, to expose Black Pride to the young Black Society.

»Buffer Club = To provide free chemistry tutoring on Thursdays at lunch to those who need it.

»Chess Club = To promote chess at Rio and to participate in tournaments.

»Christian Club = To gather together once a week and study the Bible.

»College Development Club = To get club members prepared for college and the future.

»D-9 Jr History Project = Community Service for Veterans.

»For the Health of it = To encourage Rio students to participate in mentally and physically healthy activities as a group.

»French Club = To inform and educate students about French language and culture.

»Funny Thursday = To create an outlet for tired and stressed students in which we will have fun and study how we can get more sleep and reduce stress. We picked Thursday as it is one of the hardest days of the week.

»Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) = To support the gay community and to promote gay rights.

»God Squad= To reach out to students with the Good News and to build relationships with other Christians.

»Improv Comedy Club= To teach people the ways of comedy and acting and to give kids an outlet to express themselves in their own brand of humor.

»Interact Club= Community and international service club that does local community service projects & donates to organizations.

»Jewish American Cluture Club (JACC)=To provide insight into the Jewish American Culture in the USA.

»Junior Toastmasters Club= Introduce effective public speaking skills.

»Key Club = To work with the community & perform community service as well associated with Kiwanis suburban.

»Lilu Handbag Club= Teens helping teens in a creative way. We sew handbags which will later be sold to raise money for the WIND center for homeless teens.

»Loaves and Fishes (Mustardseed Program) = To pack and take lunches to the children who's parents can't feed them.

»Mongolian BBQ = To enjoy quality food (mongolian food) with friends at a respected establishment.

»Moot Court = To learn about the United States' judicial system by forming case arguments based on actual court cases and presenting them to superior court judges against other schools.

»Outdoor Adventure =

»Peace Club = To reach peace, teach peace and help develop the next generation of leaders.

»Photography Club = To provide film photographers the chance to develop film, make prints, and join a photographic community.

»Post Secret Club = Make people happy by expressing their secrets!

»Raider Support = To support and fundraise to support the U.S. Armed Forces.

»Rio Americano Young Democrat's Club = Provide a place in which young liberals can work together for causes and as a place where students can express their political beliefs.

»Rio Americano Players Society = The goal of R.A.P.S. is to further enhance an individual's ability to control their capital, decision making, strategy, rish-management, as well as interacting with their peers in friendly competitions as to better their skill and to have an enjoyable experience.

»Rio Americano Quidditch Club = To play a really fun game.

»Rio Republicans = To discuss political issues from a conservative standpoint and promote Republican party ideas.

»Rio Rollerbladers = For students at Rio Americano to get together and rollerblade for their enjoyment.

»Rio Snowboard & Ski Club = Spread interest about snow sports & organize trips to Sierra-at-Tahoe.

»Rods and Cones = To raise awareness about the visually impaired and participae in events conducted by the Society for the Blind and get involved in the community.

»Save Darfur Club = Help raise awareness about genocide in Sudan, Africa & raise $ to help refugees.

»Science Club = To educate the student body in modern scientific issues.

»Science Bowl = To prepare for the Scinece Bowl Competition in February.

»Spanish Club = Introduce Spanish culture to our school.

»Speech and Debate = To give Rio Students the opportunity to compete locally, statewide, and nationwide in an attempt to foster a desire for learning, acting, communicating, and representing Rio.

»Students Stand Against Poverty = To spread awareness regarding poverty, sell T-shirts to raise money, give out micro loans.

»To Our Future = The purpose of this club is to inform the student body what types of jobs they can do and to make a difference.

»T-Shirt Club = To inspire kids to embrace their artistic side through a fun, accessible and social medium.

»Ultimate Frisbee = To develop an organized team/ teams of ultimate frisbee lovers to play each other and other teams.
