- Independent organizations acknowledge Rio achievements
Rio’s legacy of academically successful students lives on.  Not only does Rio every year have an exceptionally high number of National Merit Scholars, compiled data demonstrates how strong Rio performs compared to other schools.  As in previous years, Newsweek, Sacramento Bee and California Department of Education rank Rio very high for the numbers of students who take and perform very well in AP and SAT exams.
