Rio Americano VICCI
Volunteers in Career and College Information
What is VICCI?
Rio’s VICCI program (Volunteers in Career and College Information) utilizes parents to assist counselors in meeting with students to check high school graduation requirements and provide college and career guidance. One-on-one interview sessions are done with sophomores each fall, with the cooperation of the English classes and juniors each winter. VICCI also arranges SAT / ACT Practice testing, the district wide College Night, financial aid seminars, scholarship files, and help with the college application or personal statement. Information about the VICCI program is available by calling the Counseling Department at 971-7502 or contacting any of our VICCI board members listed below.
Visiting college representatives also make presentations at the Counseling Office. A list of colleges and upcoming visitation dates is posted in the Counseling Office as well as other campus locations. Announcements are also made in the daily student news bulletin.
