Sarah Gibson is our Rio Americano Librarian. She is available in the library every Tuesday and Wednesday and every other Thursday. The library is open Mondays and Fridays and every other Thursday with the help of PTSA library volunteers. Mrs. Gibson can be reached at Sarah Gibson.
TUTORING is available free of charge in the library on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:00-4:00. Tutoring covers all subject areas taught at Rio Americano. _______________________________________________ Book donations, magazine subscriptions, and contributions to our library fund to maintain our subscription databases are welcome.
These Library subscription databases provide students with high-quality, authoritative information online. The subscription agreements allow use by all Rio students and their parents from home as well as on campus. Please see the librarian for the Username and Password.

- New York Times Archives
The New York Times has stopped charging for access to much of its archives which date back over 150 years. Students can now read the first Times stories printed about Lincoln’s assassination and Custer’s last stand. It’s a great resource for research papers. You may still need to register for access.
- SIRS Researcher
Contains a wealth of information on current issues from newspapers and journals across the country.
