Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! This year, the school staff will build upon the wonderful pre-existing components when considered collectively help to create this awesome academic institution. Some of the hidden treasures at Will Rogers are the Positive Behavior Support Program, AVID, Project Base Learning, the Instructional Learning Support Program and Technologies. These and many other components help to produce high performing schools.
We are confident that students will thrive when instructional lessons are motivated by how students learn. The staff, counselors and administrators are working in concert with each student to analyze multiple measures to develop an academic plan to aid in student success.
Students will be provided rigorous standards-based curriculum, which will support experiential and collaborative lessons that will challenge them to reach their fullest potential. One of our goals is to guide each child through a successful and positive year that prepares them for the next academic level with rigorous and relevant curricula.
The staff and faculty at Will Rogers believe that making connections with students through meaningful relationships strengthens our ability to have them engaged in the learning process. Our small class sizes provide the opportunity for building relationships in the classroom and ensuring positive results in academic performance. Our goal is for all students to become owners of their learning.
It is truly a pleasure to be apart of such a dynamic school community. Our eager learners at Will Rogers provides for a superb classroom environment. The experienced and well rounded staff will guide our efforts to ensure learning for all students.
