Graduation Requirements

To earn a high school diploma from San Juan High School, all students must complete a minimum of 220 credits and meet the following requirements.

English: 40 Credits

Science
        Life Science: 10 Credits
        Physical Science: 10 Credits

Social Science
        World History: 10 Credits
        U.S. History:  10 Credits
        American Government:  5 Credits
        Economics: 5 Credits
        Social Science Elective:  5 Credits
        (Geography, Psychology or Political Science)

Mathematics:  20 Credits
(Students must pass Algebra I to graduate)

Physical Education: 20 Credits

Fine Arts:  10 Credits

Health/Safety and Drivers’ Education:  5 Credits

Electives:  70 Credits
        
Along with the Computer Competency requirement, students graduating
must pass Algebra I and the California High School Exit Exam.
