Teen Pregnancy Prevention Panel

A unique feature of Sierra Nueva's community service component is the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Panel.  Panels from the school consisting of students, sometimes their parents, and/or student fathers, facilited by staff are trained to provide information about the realities of teen pregnancy and parenting to students, parents, and professionals.  These panels go to high school classes, parent meetings, church groups, agencies and organizations, and college classes with these goals:

• Helping in the prevention of teen pregnancies
• Raising the consciousness of the community on the realities of teen prenancy and parenting
• Providing information on the special needs of expectant and parenting teens and their families
