School Mission
SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
The teachers, administrators and parents of Sierra Oaks Elementary School are dedicated to providing all students with an environment that will create a desire to continue the learning process throughout their lives. We want the students to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves and others in the community. It is our goal that they will be able to function independently while at the same time developing a moral and ethical behavior that will allow them to be tolerant of others and work cooperatively with those around them.
The students of Sierra Oaks will demonstrate a high degree of competence in communication and literacy skills that include reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition, the students will be encouraged to be critical and creative in their thinking process and to demonstrate a high degree of competence in all that they do.
