2010 - 2011 School year

Children who will be 5 years of age by December 2, 2010 may enroll for kindergarten for the 2010-2011 year.  Since good health is crucial to a child's success in school, the district also recommends that each entering student have a physical and dental examination.

Kindergarten students for the 2010-2011 school year will not be registering at the school site. All Kindergarten students will be enrolled at San Juan Central on Walnut Avenue.  Kindergarten enrollment packets will be available at school sites and at San Juan Central beginning Monday, January 4, 2010.  Starting on February 1, 2010, San Juan Central will begin to book enrollment appointments for entering kindergarten student.  Appointments will start after March 1, 2010.

Students living within the boundaries of Sierra Oaks:

Please call "San-Juan" for an appointment to register your child.  Please bring your child's shot record, your child's birth certificate and 2 proofs of residence. 

Open Enrollment is available to students who would like to register at a school other than their neighborhood school.  Open Enrollment information can be found out the district's web site. 

Open Enrollment will occur during November 16  through January 29, 2010.  See the sjusd webpage for more information.  

Students living beyond the boundaries of Sierra Oaks:

Students may apply to attend a San Juan Unified School District school at San Juan Central from February 1, 2010 through March 30, 2010.

Visitation days are scheduled at schools during the months before.   Visitations during the school day are limited to adults only.
