Adult Education Resources
Adult education provides the following services:
ESL-English as a Second Language-classes for adults
Each Tuesday at 1 pm and at 6:30 pm (except during scheduled school vacations), adult students interested in learning English may register. The registration process includes testing to determine the appropriate class level. The process takes about an hour and a half. Please do not bring children to the registration.
We offer classes in several levels of instruction, from "beginning low" to "intermediate high" are available.
$25 per semester to register for classes.
High School Diploma-adult students may earn a diploma from San Juan Adult Schools. Adult students meet with a counselor to determine which classes are needed to complete the current state and district diploma requirements. Adult students must meet the current California Department of Education requirements which include passing the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). Classes for adult students are offered in required subject areas.
$25 per semester to register for classes.
GED and CAHSEE test preparation-students may also enroll in classes to prepare to take these exams. Classes are offered during the day and/or evening. The classes are $25 per semester.
