TWIN LAKES POLICIES & PROCEDURESBe Safe - Be Respectful - Be Responsible
For Parents:
- No Pets are Allowed on Campus at Any Time
- All Visitors Must Check in at the Office and Wear a Visitor Badge While on Campus (pg. 25 & 29 in District Parent Handbook & Board Policy #1250(a))
- Parents Who Wish to Congregate on the Playground Before the Start of School Must First Sign In at the Office
- Parents Arriving to Pick Up Students Before the Dismissal Bell Must Sign In and Out in the Office
- All Parents Must Wait Outside the School Gates Until the Final Dismissal Bell Rings
- Children May be Dropped Off No Earlier than 8:10 a.m. and Picked Up No Later than 3:00 p.m. as there is No Supervision Available Before and After These Times
- Parents Who Deliver Items to School for their Children Must Drop Off the Items in the Office and Not to the Classroom. The Office Staff Will Be Sure to Deliver the Items to the Student
- Parents & Others Must Not Wait Directly Outside Classroom Doors or Windows, as this is a Disruption of the Teaching and Learning Environment
- Follow Safe Driving Procedures When Dropping Off or Picking Up Children
- Do Not Leave Vehicle Unless Parked in Designated Parking Space
- Do Not Back Up into On-coming Traffic in the Drop Off Area; Use the Turn Around Circle or Pull into a Parking Space
For Students:
- Bicycles Must Be Walked on Campus & Helmets Must Be Worn when Riding (Vehicle Code # 2113(a) & 21212(a)
- Bicycle Riders Must Obey DMV Vehicle Codes
- Bicycles Must be Parked & Locked in the Bike Racks During School Hours
- Always Use the Crosswalk when Crossing the Street
- Toys, Sports Equipment, Games, Electronic Devices, etc. May Not be Brought to School (Cell phones must be off & out of sight at all times)
- Students Must be Dressed Appropriately; Shoes & Socks Must be Worn at All Times; Underwear Must Not Show; Spaghetti Straps, Halter Tops, and Other Such Revealing Clothing is Not Permitted
- Homework Delivered to School by Parents Will Be Marked “Late”
- Students May Not Arrive at School before 8:10 and Must Leave School Promptly at the End of the Day Unless Enrolled in a Supervised After-School Activity
- Students May Not Return to the Classroom to Retrieve Forgotten Items After the Dismissal Bell.
