SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
We believe that each member of the Whitney Family is important. The staff, parents, community and students have the responsibility to ensure the best education possible for every Whitney student. Learning is our number one job and our shared responsibility. Two-way communication is necessary to maximize student academic growth and self-esteem. By working together, we provide the learning environment which allows all students to develop and share their skills, reasoning and talents. We belive all students have the right to attend school and pursue their education in a caring, save and nurturing environment. The Whitney Family has high standards and expectations. We are committed to helping each family member have a successful role in the education of our children.
SUCCESS FOR ALL PROGRAM
We are proud to continue our Success For All Literacy Program. This is a comprehensive approach to ensure the success of every child. The program emphasizes prevention and early intervention to anticipate and solve any learning problems. Whitney School utilizes research-based curriculum materials, extensive professional development, one-to-one tutoring and active family support approaches. You will receive ongoing information regarding ways in which you can support this literacy program throughout the school year.
