Principal's Message
Another successful school year has come to a close. The Whitney School staff and students have continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to the learning process. As summer approaches we encourage our students to continue reading and exploring the many community programs and resources available. Feel free to stop by the school office to learn more about summer opportunities for youth such as: local library programs, recreational sports, and Effie Yeaw Nature Center hikes.
The start of the 2009-2010 school year will take place on Monday, August 24th. Our school hours will be changed to 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for grades 1-6. Morning Kindergarten classes will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Afternoon Kindergarten time will be from 10:55 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Transportation will be provided free of charge to students who reside one mile or farther from school. Few transportation changes are planned for 2009-2010.
