Course Evaluation

Overview:
This course is designed to be practical, current, interesting, thought-provoking and empowering. It is built around active learning and collaborative thinking. When we are done you will have completed a project and will be able to teach this mode of creative expression to your students.

Audience:
This course is designed for teachers of K-12 students. Basic familiarity with the Internet is needed.

The Process:

Develop Idea/Story
Choose Images/Pictures
Create Storyboard
Write Script
Record Audio
Add Titles, Transitions, Effects
Add Music
Export

What is iPoetry?

Digital stories or poems are short, personal, multimedia tales, told from the heart. Anyone can make and publish them. They have the potential to be a very powerful means of learning and communication.

Learning Outcomes:
In this course you will learn:
*How to find images and sounds appropriate for iLife Projects
*How to use iLife and iMovie and iDVD to create a digital story or poem of your own
*Brainstorm ideas on how to use iLife with your students

You may wish to bring:
*A thumb drive for file transfer and storage
*A favorite music CD
*A favorite poem, song or story
*Photos of your own on a thumb drive or in your digital camera.
