Vendor Screening Process

NOTE: There will be no vendor reviews during the month of July.

The Curriculum Department coordinates the screening of important instructional products and professional services. This is to ensure that products and services are of systemic value to the district and to assist schools and departments by providing a clearinghouse and knowledge base of their reviews.

As of February 1, 2008, instructional products and professional services go through this screening process, based on these thresholds:

  • Supplementary Instructional Materials (including software; excluding hardware) $1,000 purchase; or Site License; or Web Application; or Multi-classroom product
  • Professional Services (presenters and consultants) $3,000

As a service to schools and departments and as time permits, notable products and professional services already in use in the SJUSD may be added to the knowledge bases.

Vendor must complete an application and submit the applicable Product Evaluation or Professional Services Evaluation Questionnaire.

For a product/service to be considered by SJUSD, this application must be completed and returned electronically according to the directions under Related Files below.

Your completed application will be processed and routed to the appropriate department administrator for review. Please allow 30 days for processing and review.
