Congratulations Seniors!

The end of the school year is upon us.  Please turn in all of your library books now. Visit your local public library and be sure to read this summer.

The Spring semester is flying by.
As some students complete the JRP and gear up for the end of the school year, remember that the library is here to provide research help and a quiet place to study.
We have also received quite a few new books for pleasure reading, so don't forget to take time to read and relax :)
Finally, please start returning late or missing Library books. There are literally thousands of books missing from the Library.  Students grades & transcripts can be held if they have fines or missing books.
Last day to return Library books is Friday, May 19, 2017.
Graduation is Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
The Last day of school is Thursday, June 8, 2017.
The First day back is Thursday August 10, 2017.
Hi all... it's still raining out there and a great time to pick up a book to read.  Come to the library to check out some of our new fiction offerings.  We have autographed copes of Samurai Rising, Fire and Bitterblue... All tops picks in Young Adult fiction.
Happy new year and welcome to Spring semester.  :) Come in to the Library to check out our new books and get help with research projects.
The Sacramento Public Library will be here again Tuesday February 7 at LUNCH to share information about their Teen programs :)  Come see what they have to offer!
Remember Free TUTORING is available M-T-W after school in the Library from 3-4 pm.
The first shipment of new books has arrived.  Come see what we got.  :)

Drop by the Library to pick up a book for the cold and rainy weekend.  Nothing better than relaxing with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book :)
Stay safe this weekend.
This week is Teen Read week.  Stop by the Library and find a book to enjoy.
A representative from Sacramento Public Library will be here Tuesday October 11 at Lunch.  Come by, learn about the Library, and get free stuff.
In the meantime, check out this Library promotional video created by Rio students.
Have a great week... and Read. :-)
Thank you to the Barona Band of Mission Indians in Southern California.  We received a $5000 grant from them to purchase new books!!  New books have already started arriving.  Come check them out :)
Thank you again to the Barona Band of Mission Indians for their generous support of the Rio Americano Library.
Welcome back to a new school year!
As the librarian, I am here to help with any academic needs you might have... research, computers, printing, copying, book recommendations... just ask :)
Please remember a few basic rules whenever visiting the Rio Library.
  1. No food or drinks (except water bottles).
  1. No gum.
  1. Have your student ID with you in order to check out books.
  1. Respect others learning by working quietly.
There have been a lot of positive changes in the Library.  Stop by and see the updates. :)
