Twin Lakes will be getting some new signs this year! The new signs help share the San Juan Unified School District's Visitor Check-In policy with the public and will read "For the safety of our students, staff, and guests, all visitors between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. must immediately proceed to the main office near the front of the school to register." This policy is for the safety of our students, staff, and guests while on our campus. Please know that it is vitally important that ALL visitors check in with the office, no matter how quickly you plan to visit the campus. Remember that this is for the safety of everyone on campus and know that we appreciate your compliance. Below is the text from the California Penal Code that is referenced on the new signs. California Penal Code 627.2: No outsider shall enter or remain on school grounds during school hours without having registered with the principal or designee, except to proceed expeditiously to the office of the principal or designee for the purpose of registering. If signs posted in accordance with Section 627.6 restrict the entrance or route that outsiders may use to reach the office of the principal or designee, an outsider shall comply with such signs.
