The SJUSD Board of Education approved boundary changes for five elementary school at its May 26, 2009 meeting. The boundaries for Cottage elementary will be adjusted. The changes will become effective August 2010 for the 2010/11 school year. 

The affected areas are as follows: residents between Morse and Watt Avenues, north of Northrop are no longer within the Cottage Elementary boundaries. They are now within the boundaries for Thomas Edison Elementary. If you are unsure whether  you reside within the affected area please call (916) 971 7700 and press 2 for attendance area and boundaries.

Families currently enrolled at Cottage who live in the affected areas and wish to remain at Cottage for the 2010/11 school year MUST request an intradistrict transfer between October November 7, 2009.   INTRADISTRICT requests are processed by the San Juan Central enrollment office. San Juan Central is located at 3738 Walnut Ave in Carmichael and can be reached at (916) 726 5826.

San Juan Central Enrollment hours of operation are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Wednesday 8:00am-8:00pm and the second Saturday of each month 9:00am-3:00pm

Families requesting a transfer will be responsible for providing transportation to and from school. SJUSD does not provide transportation to students outside of their school of residence.
