San Juan Education Foundation and Lesley University provide grants to teachers
Teachers at Pershing Elementary and Howe Avenue Elementary schools received surprise grants on Oct 15 from the San Juan Education Foundation provided by Lesley University.  Lesley University is celebrating its Centennial year by offering two innovative learning grants to teachers in the San Juan Unified School District through the San Juan Education Foundation.  One grant is for integrated arts and one is for integrated technologies.

This year's recepients are Tisha Rugg and Sherry Martin of Pershing Elementary for "Making History Relevant Through Video Production" and Gayle Winney at Howe Avenue for "Innovative Learning through Movement and Latin Music".

"Lesley University is pleased to partner with the San Juan Education foundation to recognize the work of teachers in SJUSD and to support their mission-aligned efforts to integrate the arts and technology across the curriculum," said Dr. McCarthy, Regional Director for Lesley University.
