The Culinary Academy of New San Juan High School has been recognized by yet another institute of higher learning. Through an extensive review of the school's program, the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, has determined that students completing our program now meet the criteria necessary to fulfill the Institute's experience requirement.
This means that any graduate of our Culinary Academy who is accepted into The Culinary Institute of America can enroll right away without having to gain any further experience in the foodservice and hospitality field.
According to the Institute, "Thanks to your relevant curriculum, involvement with National Student Organization, and the valuable hands-on experience you provide, you've given your students a terrific advantage in getting on the right path to reaching their dreams."
This latest honor comes on the heels of our articulation agreement with Johnson and Wales University.
The Culinary Institute of America (www.ciachef.edu) is considered one of the world's premier culinary colleges, and alumni include world-renowned chefs and celebrity chefs who have been featured on the Food Network Channel.
