13 Students Earn Top Scores for Public Service Ads & Gender Collages
For the Senior Level TouchPoint, Gender, the Media, the Law, & You, students were challenged to use commercial advertising techniques for non-commercial purposes. Typical topics for public service advertisements included public health/public safety issues, community resources, emergency preparedness instructions, conservation of natural resources information, and other topics of broad interest. Top PSA's went to Tia Wages, "I Am Fine", Zurain Kajani, "Computer Addiction Is Real", and Dima Gumenyuk, "Your Aim Would Help". Students who were also recognized included, Kyle Bruns "Are YOU on Drugs?", Anthony Yannacone "All it took was one song...", Alexandria Ward "Meet me at the park?", Lana Buracheck "The higher you fly...", Nico Quigley "Why put this one?", Charnele Shihwestphal "Depression doesn't just hurt you.", and Kyle Goodall "Violence is not a sign of affection."
International Studies students in Mrs. Stiles-Roberts class earned top honors for their Gender Collages in conjuntion with the TouchPoint. They are on display outside of Ms. Char's room. Those students included Vlada Gjibinskaia, April Wong, and Kara Devlin.
