Cyberspace:
Children can have fun in cyberspace. There are stories to read, games to play, jokes and puzzles. All these are fun to share with friends, teachers, and parents. Some places in cyberspace ask children to join in the fun. They may be asked for private information such as their name or the name of their school. What should you do? Tell your child to always ask you or a teacher if it is okay to give out private information in cyberspace. What’s private: Their name, address, school, school address, e-mail address, phone number, passwords, parent’s place of work, and photos. Please teach your child that pictures of them can never be erased from cyberspace and can be used for nefarious purposes.
