Media Center Hours and Guidelines

Checking out Books:

No talking in library, students are trying to read and take AR tests.
You may only check out two books at a time.
If you have a book overdue you may not check out any other book until you have either returned the book or paid for it.
The books are located in alphabetical order by Authors last name. If you aren't sure where you got the book, please take it up to the counter.
Books may be checked out for 3 weeks before they need to be renewed. Please renew your book when your class comes into the library.
If you a read a book from home, please bring in the book or a note from your parent or guardian stating that you have read the book.

AR Test:

You must have an AR book with you to take a test.
There is no talking in the testing area.
No cheating on tests. If you are caught cheating the test will be thrown away and not counted.
Tests can be the taken during homeroom and before school and both lunches.
You must have a book at least 24 hours before taking a test on it.
Do not take a test on a book you haven't read.
You may only take a test on a book once.
A passing grade on tests is 70% or better for 7th grade and 80% or better for 8th grade.
If your book is also a movie, the test will be based on the book NOT the movie.
