Homework and Updates!

MACHO NACHOS!!!

The 3rd quarter benchmark assessment will be given next week. Students who show proficiency on this test will be rewarded with some yummy, cheesy, crunchy nachos at lunch after Spring Break! Yummmmmmm!!!!

Thursday Lunch Tutoring:
Students missing any work will be coming in to Thursday lunch tutoring with Mrs.Douglas or Mrs.Byers. Students are also encouraged to make up work or get extra help at Wednesday study hall which runs from after school to about 3:20.

POLICY REGARDING LATE WORK:
As of third quarter, I will not take late work past a week old. Late work will be given half credit. If a student is absent they may make up the work (at lunch or study hall) for full credit.

Complete the information based on a family member and what they say/do/relationships that shows what they are like on the inside (their personality). Then come up with one symbol that best represents who they are. For example "My sister is like the wind, because she goes every which way and can't focus."

Write down, word for word, a passage from your AR novel that you thought was interesting. This may be a part of the novel that clarified something for you, something you thought was funny, descriptive, or just simply caught your attention. 
After you write down the passage (at least a sentence) tell WHY you choose this passage in a well written and grammatically correct paragraph. Why did you think this selection was interesting? What did it show about the characters? Do NOT merely write a summary.
