Revolutionize Your Reading Experience

"You can even read while you're driving, thanks to the audiobook revolution. Of the books I read each year, anywhere from six to a dozen are on tape." --Stephen King

I've been an avid reader all my life. I have a tendency to hang on to the authors I really like, and I don't let go until I've read all of their books. My obsession was even more consuming when I was little, and I believed that if I didn't finish an entire book in a day I would forget overnight the pieces I had already devoured. So the summer between second and third grade, I read a book a day from the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stein (who, I've come to find out, is not just one person, but a team of writers). The next summer, I did the same thing with the Nancy Drew series, which, to my disappointment later in life, is written the same way. But oh, how I loved to crack the clean, yellow covers of those classic-looking hardbacks!

I have since learned that not only do I not have the time to sit and read a book all the way through in one day, I sometimes don't have the desire. As Audrey Hepburn musically tirades in the role Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, "Words! Words! I'm so sick of words! I get them all day through!"
